Proving Something

So the other day a friend of mine came over to the house with her children.  Her daughter thought we didn't celebrate Halloween or Fall for that matter.  She was right, the outside of my house was bare!  Not even a trace of acknowledging the change of seasons!  So I set out to buy a wreath for the door.  I was shocked to find out how expensive they were!  $80.00 at the craft stores!  So I did what I like to do, prove that I can make it better and cheaper!  I made this wreath for about $15.00.  I might add more leaves or some pine cones to it later, but I was in a minimalist kind of mood.  What you don't see are the pumpkins on the steps and the pansies in the window boxes.  We are now decorated!!

Jewelry Making 101!

Have you ever had that nagging voice in the back of your head that keeps saying, " do this, do this!"?  Well ever since high school I have wanted to try making jewelry.  So here's my first attempt.  I loved it!  Not only could I start and finish a project in a short amount of time but I could then wear and display it where ever I wanted! Bonus!!  It's made of 20 gauge wire, bent around round nose pliers.  Simple and fun!  I can't wait to see where this will take me!
