So this is my second attempt at my new jewelry hobby. I made this using DandyLine and a thin beading needle. It was a lot of fun to make. I thought it turned out pretty good for a second piece. I was intending to make a necklace but I was surprised at how quickly the beading used up the line I had cut. Next time I suppose if I want a necklace I might start out with much longer line! But to be honest I kind of like it as a bracelet! I love this new creative outlet! I just wish I had more time...

Equine Art #1
"Summer Grey"
The one thing you will see the most of on my blog is horses. I have always loved to use them as subjects for my paintings and drawings. Horses can express so much emotion in their body language. And as an artist I am always trying to convey emotion through my work. This is an acrylic on a 12x16 canvas. I was able to paint it in about a day. This is fast for me, I have a hard time declaring a painting "done". That being said, being an artist has been so much of a learning process for me. I am always looking for ways to become a better artist.

Who's 'da Mom?
It was my daughter's 10th Birthday and she wanted a cake. That's not asking much right? Well she wanted a specific cake, a Pokemon cake. And not just any Pokemon cake either, a "Snivy" (if you are wondering, no, I had no idea what a Snivy looked like) cake. Fat chance on getting this made anywhere-without paying a fortune! So along with my close friend, Google, I was able to look up the character, how to make butter-cream icing ( www.wilton.com ), and went to www.cookiescupcakesandcardio.com to teach me how to make the butter-cream transfer!
